Tracey Shelton, a student on the 2011-12 MA programme, is a correspondent for The Global Post. In March her video report on Libya rebels was aired on the prestigious American news program, the Public Broadcasting Services Newshour.

Mark Esplin – who is currently doing the MA International Multimedia Journalism – had his story on Tropical Storm Sendong featured on the influential foto8 site in April. Mark’s story takes a different tack in response to the storm’s devastation, focusing on the economic and social causes as well as the governmental response.
